The aim of the course is for the students to learn how to develop products, phenomena and environments adapted to the human physical and cognitive conditions.

The course includes a reality linked company project, that puts the theory of work load and cognitive ergonomics in context. The course also contains individual and group assignments and lectures/seminars that cover the following areas:
Grading scale: TH - (U, 3, 4, 5) - (Fail, Three, Four, Five)
Assessment:
For a passing grade, approved written assignments in physical and cognitive ergonomics with oral presentations, participation in laboratory work, approved written, individual reflections on the course literature, participation in literature seminars on the course literature, approved written and oral presentation of the project, written opposition to another group's project, as well as approved assignments with connection to scientific articles and the project are required. The final grade is based on a weighting of the results of the written and oral presentation of the project, the written reflections on the course literature, and the written opposition to another group's project. Detailed description will be provided at the course introduction.
The examiner, in consultation with Disability Support Services, may deviate from the regular form of examination in order to provide a permanently disabled student with a form of examination equivalent to that of a student without a disability.
