Aim
The aim is to bring knowledge and skill in BIM handling,
modelling and visualisation.
Learning outcomes
Knowledge and understanding
For a passing grade the student must
- describe visual communication
- describe theory of colour and perspective
- in freehand sktech interiors and exteriors
- describe and understand ICT technology
- be familiar with a 3D sketch application
- be familiar with a BIM application´s use for design
- be familiar with additional BIM applications for data
analyses
Competences and skills
For a passing grade the student must
- sketch a simple architectural building
- make a photo montage and layout task
- use digital sketching method
- make a graphical well-reasoned presentation
- use a 3D sketch application
- use a BIM modelling application
Judgement and approach
For a passing grade the student must
- make a subjective opinion of different graphical
presentations
- understand sketching as a tool for memory
- realize ICT and BIM as a supporting tool for the whole building
process
Contents
- creative formation, modelling techniques, digital 3D modelling,
layout handling etc
- theory of ICT, CAD and BIM development
- modelling techniques
- theory of the BIM concept and its present use
Examination details
Grading scale: TH - (U,3,4,5) - (Fail, Three, Four, Five)
Assessment: Individual examination (exercises). Lectures 80% presence.
The examiner, in consultation with Disability Support Services, may deviate from the regular form of examination in order to provide a permanently disabled student with a form of examination equivalent to that of a student without a disability.
