Electromechanic actuators are getting increasingly more common in industry products and productions systems. Skills in the design and integration of such are thus important. The purpose of this course is to provide such skills.

Lectures: Windings, current density, torque production and
losses. Optimisation, torque quality, reluctance net models, FEM
analysis.
Project: Design of an electrical machine with the use of a FEM
design programme.
Grading scale: TH - (U,3,4,5) - (Fail, Three, Four, Five)
Assessment: Approved design report grants the grade 3. For higher grade a written exam is required.
The examiner, in consultation with Disability Support Services, may deviate from the regular form of examination in order to provide a permanently disabled student with a form of examination equivalent to that of a student without a disability.
