Examination details

Grading scale: TH - (U, 3, 4, 5) - (Fail, Three, Four, Five)
Assessment: The final grade is based on weekly take-home problem assignments (50%) and a written midterm exam (50%). Approved laboratory practicals and oral presentation are needed for a passing grade. If necessary, reexamination (of the midterm exam) will be performed orally.

The examiner, in consultation with Disability Support Services, may deviate from the regular form of examination in order to provide a permanently disabled student with a form of examination equivalent to that of a student without a disability.

Further information

The course emphasizes active processing of knowledge through take-home problem assignments and laboratory practicals. Five lectures are devoted to research in protein science, where the students present and critically discuss recent research results.
