Aim

The course gives knowledge in how to analyse mechanical transmissions using relations for, and between, the included parts.

For a passing grade the student must

• be able to recognize transmission elements and apply methods taught in the course.

Competences and skills
For a passing grade the student must

• be able to analyse exemplified transmissions.

Contents

Commonly used transmission elements, e.g. brakes, screws, couplings, clutches and gears.

Examination details

Grading scale: TH - (U, 3, 4, 5) - (Fail, Three, Four, Five)
Assessment: Assignments and written examination.

The examiner, in consultation with Disability Support Services, may deviate from the regular form of examination in order to provide a permanently disabled student with a form of examination equivalent to that of a student without a disability.
