on a basic level have the skill to search for and to evaluate information related to human physiology from scientific journals, web-based sources, and public media.
On the basis of knowledge in biochemistry and cell biology, the main contents are anatomy and physiology of the human gastrointestinal tract and metabolic regulation. In addition the course includes basic anatomy and physiology related to endocrinology, neurophysiology, reproduction, respiration, circulation, muscle function and kidney function. The course contains lectures, exercises, laboratory work, and workshops with an oral presentation and written summary. During the course there are possibilities to perform two small tests (duggas).

Assessment: To pass the course laboratory work, exercises and workshops should be completed. The grades are based on the results of a written examination.
