The overall purpose of the course is to provide the students with an understanding for and skills in how to organize projects and scientific studies within a supply chain management context. The course builds on previous courses and gives the students an opportunity for in-depth studies. The students obatin knowledge and insights into project management and research methodologies before taking on a group project where they focus on a chosen production or logistics area.

The course consists of three parts. The first part deals with
research methodology and different research methods.
The second part is concerned with project management and different
project methods and tools. The third part is a project that is
carried out in groups of approximately 4 persons. Each group shall
with the aid of the supervisor select and define a project task in
the production, logistics, and supply chain management domain. The
course contains the following themes:
Grading scale: TH - (U,3,4,5) - (Fail, Three, Four, Five)
Assessment: Project work in Groups, and individual assignments. Compulsory attendance may occure in certain parts.
The examiner, in consultation with Disability Support Services, may deviate from the regular form of examination in order to provide a permanently disabled student with a form of examination equivalent to that of a student without a disability.
