The course gives knowledge in how to analyse mechanical transmissions using relations for, and between, the included parts.

Commonly used transmission elements, e.g. brakes, screws, couplings, clutches and gears.

Grading scale: TH - (U,3,4,5) - (Fail, Three, Four, Five)
Assessment: Assignments and written examination.

The examiner, in consultation with Disability Support Services, may deviate from the regular form of examination in order to provide a permanently disabled student with a form of examination equivalent to that of a student without a disability.


Assumed prior knowledge: FMEA30 Mechanics or FMEA01 Engineering Mechanics - Statics and Particle Dynamics together with FMEA25 Mechanics-Dynamics, and FHL013/FHLF15 Solid Mechanics.
