The course contains introductory lectures and seminars on project management and agile project management. The major part of the course consists of work with the project where the students have to design, build and test a system in the field of computer engineering, in parallel with this process being documented. The process is documented with a log book, and is summarized and evaluated in a written report. The learning takes place through a mixture of lectures, workshops, supervision and project work in groups.
Grading scale: UG - (U, G) - (Fail, Pass)
Assessment:
The examination consists of a larger project assignment that is examined through process documentation, a working demonstrator in software and a written report. For a passed course, a pass is also required on the submission tasks, both individual tasks and group tasks. Introductory lecture, guest lectures and joint project activities are compulsory. During the course, on-site active group participation in workshops and supervision sessions as well as active individual responsibility and commitment to the project work are expected.
If the project as a whole is not approved after the end of the course, individual re-examination can be applied. In cases where a group member does not contribute sufficiently to the joint project, supplementary assignments may be required after the course is completed. If the deficiencies are very significant, the project part of the course must be redone in its entirety the following year.
The examiner, in consultation with Disability Support Services, may deviate from the regular form of examination in order to provide a permanently disabled student with a form of examination equivalent to that of a student without a disability.
