The instruction consists of lectures, demonstrations, exercises and study visits. The theoretical portion covers freeform production and its potential use. The practical portion aims to provide students with training in the skills involved in freeform production and consists of supervised exercises of gradually increasing complexity.
Grading scale: TH - (U,3,4,5) - (Fail, Three, Four, Five)
Assessment: Each student is required to describe the results from each of 3 projects he or she has participated in during the course. This will be in the form of reports and models. As a rule, the projects are carried out individually or in groups of two. The results from each project are graded and the final grade is calculated as a weighted average value of these. Evaluation of performance is based on the results of the project assignments and can, on agreement with the instructor, be supplemented afterwards for evaluation and examination if the student does not pass the course within the ordinary time frame.
The examiner, in consultation with Disability Support Services, may deviate from the regular form of examination in order to provide a permanently disabled student with a form of examination equivalent to that of a student without a disability.
