methodology.
• Carry out a design project with the aim of practising
theoretical and artistic knowledge.
Knowledge and understanding
For a passing grade the student must
• develop an individual project description and independently
plan the project based on the specific project requirements,
• in a structured manner collect and categorize relevant
information, and, with some guidance, be able to analyse the
information,
• try to demonstrate a logical and coherent understanding of the
chosen project field,
• understand a number of different methods used in the field of
industrial design; identify, with some guidance, relevant design
methods and apply them in practice,

Lectures on project planning, presentation techniques,
aesthetics and 2D rending techniques.
Learning takes place through lectures and supervision focusing on
discussions of individual and group homework. The students are
encouraged to update on relevant research findings.
A concept generation workshop is integrated in the course in order
to introduce the students to typical studio situations and train
their skills and deepen their understanding on idea generation
processes, different contexts, product understanding and
refinements with emphasis on user behaviour.
As a follow up to the written communication seminar in ID project A, an advanced seminar further improves the proficiency in written communication with the aim to support the design project documentation
Grading scale: TH - (U,3,4,5) - (Fail, Three, Four, Five)
