The course is designed for students at the Faculty of Engineering. English for Engineers has as its objective to give a widened knowledge of the English language.

The course studies technical texts in English in order to increase the vocabulary of the students in the field of engineering The course also deals with methods of oral presentation and with different types of written documentation, such as report writing and academic writing. These skills are developed in practical group exercises.
Grading scale: TH - (U,3,4,5) - (Fail, Three, Four, Five)
Assessment: Examinations can take the following forms: oral and/or written examinations at the end of the sub-course, and curriculum-based continuous assessment in the form of home assignments, essays and contributions to seminars. Teaching consists of practical exercises, lectures and seminars.
The examiner, in consultation with Disability Support Services, may deviate from the regular form of examination in order to provide a permanently disabled student with a form of examination equivalent to that of a student without a disability.
