Aim
The aim of the course is for students to:

• increase their knowledge and skills in using computer tools as a prerequisite for continued studies in the Industrial Design Programme.

Contents
Students will learn PC basics as well as digital graphics processing (photo editing and vector graphics), when to use different document formats and how to handle a layout program. In addition, all students will design information material (folder or poster) for a fictitious company. The course consists of seminars and independent, practical lab assignments. As a means of practicing skills, contact with the instructor as well as the turning in of lab assignments will be carried out electronically.

The information material is accounted for on a compulsory occasion towards the end of the course.

Literature
The course literature is related to the computer program software used in the course (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) and consists of user guides, instructions sheets, etc.
