The intention of the course is to stimulate discussions and reflections concerning the professional role of the industrial designer through work experience. The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowlege and abilities required to work as an industrial designer.

Upon completion of the course the student will:
- have gained insight into the various opportunities and conditions for the application/applicability of his/her knowledge
- have gained insight into the diversified role of today's professional industrial designers.

In order to pass the course the student must:
- verbally describe his/her experiences and what he/she has learnt from the course, and
- be able to describe and analyse the professional role.

In order to pass the course the student must:
- be able to work independently
- develop the ability to collaborate with other professionals in the field, in order to carry out the assigned tasks.
The student“s internship supervisor along with the responsibel teacher for the course determine the content of the training time.
Grading scale: UG - (U,G) - (Fail, Pass)
Assessment: Students will be assessed based on a written report.
The examiner, in consultation with Disability Support Services, may deviate from the regular form of examination in order to provide a permanently disabled student with a form of examination equivalent to that of a student without a disability.

Further information: Before starting the practical external training the working place has to be approved by the resposible teacher.
