Aim

The aim of the course is that students should acquire a holistic view on solid waste, waste management and resource management from a systems perspective. The students should learn to reflect on the connection between consumption, the generation of solid waste, the environmental impact of solid waste, and different policy instruments and their effects.The aim is also to integrate knowledge of resource management with previously acquired knowledge.

The course consists of the following:

Examination details

Grading scale: TH - (U,3,4,5) - (Fail, Three, Four, Five)
Assessment: A written exam, literature assignment, a paper and a discussion seminar. For the paper to be graded, the course director should have been able to follow the writing process. Participation in seminars and study visits are mandatory. The final grade is based on the written exam and the individual paper and seminar on a 50/50 basis.

The examiner, in consultation with Disability Support Services, may deviate from the regular form of examination in order to provide a permanently disabled student with a form of examination equivalent to that of a student without a disability.
