Contents

The course includes lectures, exercises, guest lectures by practitioning engineers and / or architects, and study visits. A great part of the course is devoted to a project task, consisting of the design of a bridge or another type of structure suitable for larger spans. The task is performed with planning and design calculations on relatively detailed level. Model construction in appropriate scale with final test to failure may occur for some project, depending on task orientation. The task results are eventually presented at a seminar.
