Aim

The course is a design-build course with the intent to build a complete car in the form of a small formula racer. The student will participate in a project team where each participant contributes with a certain technical part. The technical objectives of the course are to use previously acquired knowledge to design a technical sub-system, manufacture this and to test it before and during the Formula Student competition.

Contents

A practical/experimental or theoretical/numerical/analytical study within a subject in the Formula Student project, that the student likes to achieve a deeper knowledge of. The course might be a pre-study for a Master of Science thesis or a deeper study related to a regular course or a Master thesis.

Examination details

Grading scale: TH - (U,3,4,5) - (Fail, Three, Four, Five)
Assessment: Written report and oral presentation. If the student wants and can participate there is a final presentation of the total project at an international competition against other universities in Europe.

The examiner, in consultation with Disability Support Services, may deviate from the regular form of examination in order to provide a permanently disabled student with a form of examination equivalent to that of a student without a disability.
