The course aims to introduce digital tools for simple 3D sketching and modelling, in order to be able to support the design and presentation of architectural projects.

he/she:
• Is able to describe basic features of digital tools for 3D
sketching and modelling.
Competences and skills
For a passing grade the student must
To be formally approved, the student must demonstrate that he/she:
• Understands and has a capability to work with the basic
methods of digital 3-D sketching, and 3-d modelling in programs
such as Sketch Up.
• Is able to use 3D-modelling in order to produce presentation
material for an architectural project, such as drawings,
illustrations and perspectives.
Judgement and approach
For a passing grade the student must
To be formally approved, the student must demonstrate that
he/she:
•Is able to demonstrate a critical approach to various methods
and techniques in 3D sketching and modelling.
The course introduces basic digital tools for sketching and modelling through lectures and guided exercises. Tutorials are selected to be relevant to architectural design and presentations.
Grading scale: UG - (U,G) - (Fail, Pass)
Assessment: To be formally approved, the student must attain a passing grade in all exercises, and maintain not less than 80% attendance at tutorials and lectures
The examiner, in consultation with Disability Support Services, may deviate from the regular form of examination in order to provide a permanently disabled student with a form of examination equivalent to that of a student without a disability.
