Aim

The aim of the course is for students to:

 

Learning outcomes

Knowledge and understanding
For a passing grade the student must

1) Write approved reflections of the modules Fysiska faktorer 1, Fysiska faktorer 2, Kemiska hälsorisker, Fysisk belastning, Förebyggande säkerhetsarbete with respect to

2) Write approved reflection on the module Psykosocial hälsa with respect to motivation, self-control, influence, work management climate, stimulation, commitment, camaraderie, job requirements, strain, groups, group process, power, conflicts, mental health.

3) Describe how combinations of factors influence people and work.

4) Describe how work environment is regulated according to labour market legislation, regulations and contracts.

Competences and skills
For a passing grade the student must

Systematically survey, analyse and suggest improvements in existing work environments as well as design new work organizations, jobs and workplaces with respect to:

For a passing grade the student must

Present the work carried out in a reflective and analytical way in term-papers ans written project report..

Contents

The course is divided into the following modules, which are studied on one's own with the help of the course book, studying questions, and extra material e. g. scientific publications, which are placed on the course Luvit page:

  1. Fysiska faktorer 1: Buller, termiskt klimat, synergonomi
  2. Fysiska faktorer 2: Vibrationer, strålning
  3. Kemiska hälsorisker
  4. Fysisk belastning
  5. Förebyggande säkerhetsarbete
  6. Psykosocial arbetsmiljö
  7. Arbetsmiljölagstiftning

There will be possibilities to ask questions and discuss the material with the course coordinator as wella s with the other students. A written reflection of each module will be handed in and will be evaluated based on scientific criteria. The second part of the course will comprise of a workplace related project including: study visits, a survey and documentation of a work environment, a proposal of suggested improvements based on the current scientific knowledge, and a written report. The project will be guided and supervised by researchers in fields related to working environment and sustainability.

Examination details

Grading scale: TH
Assessment: For a passing grade the student must receive a passing grade on written reflections of all course modules, actively participate in study visits and receive a passing grade on the written project report. The written reflections can be substituted by a written test.
