The course aims to provide the students with basic knowledge of the Swedish judicial system. Students will not only be able to develop skills in identifying and applying current law rulings but also provide them a broad comprehension of the judicial structure of law that will serve as an important tool for engineers to solve practical legal problems in business, public service and local governments.

The aim of this course is to provide the students with basic knowledge of Civil Law, Administrative Law and certain parts of Procedural and Criminal Law. The exercises are designed in such a way that students can put into practice existing judicial rulings in relation to the different common interests of the society. Special emphasis is placed on reading and understanding legal texts.

Selection: LTH-consolidated course. Admission to this course is limited. Selective admission procedure. Selection: Number of credits remaining to obtain a Masters degree in Engineering or a Licensed Architect degree.
