Contents

The course studies Standard Mandarin grammar, vocabulary, and character system (about 60%) as well as oral skills (about 40%). The study material largely consists of elementary factual prose.

Examination details

Grading scale: UG
Assessment: Continuous written and oral tests, attendence (minimum 75%), active class participation, final exam. Tests, attendence and class participation count toward 20% of the final assessment. Upon returning to Sweden, the student must hand in a course certificate from Zhejiang University to receive his/her final grade.

Further information: The course is given at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China. Only one assessment opportunity for each part of the course is offered in China. Students that participate but do not pass the course in China are offered a re-take exam in a course at a similar level and with similar but not identical content at Lund University.
