International Project Course-Mathematical Modelling

Language of instruction: The course will be given in English

Be able to understand the modeling process of a given mathematical modelling project in cooperation with other students and to gain necessary knowledge to finish a project.

Knowledge and understanding

For a passing grade the student must

- To gain necessary knowledge to finish a given mathematical modelling project.

Competences and skills

For a passing grade the student must

- Be able to carry through a project in a group.
- Be able to carry through some part of a given mathematical modelling project.'
- To present in oral and written form the conclusions of the project.

Some problem in mathematical modelling

Grading scale: UG

Assessment: Written and oral presentation of a project.

Required prior knowledge: Equivalent to the 3 first terms of the Engineering Mathematics program and one or some of the courses FMA021, FMS045, FMN045,FMN130, FMN050.

The number of participants is limited to: 10

Selection: Individual judgement of qualification

- For each project the necessary literature is given.
