Aim

The course aims to let the student be familiar with both the practical and theoretical foundations of oral and written presentation. The written presentation part of the course is enlarged to include fundamental technical engineering troubleshooting.

Contents

The course deals with fundamental communication (both oral and written) on an engineering basis. The student is also trained practically in public performance, rhetoric, going into opposition and the methodology of writing reports. To be able to handle the written communication the course also includes fundamental parts of a modern calculating application, wordprocessing application, presentations application and a traditional 2D cad applicatiuon (AutoCAD).

Examination details

Grading scale: TH
Assessment: Marked tests belonging to each section of the communication part of the course. The final course mark is the integer part of the weighted mean values. The Cad-, Excel-, Word- and PowerPoint tests are marked G/U (approved or failed) and should all be approved to get a final course mark. Well done Cad and Excel test can raise the final course mark.
