Syfte
- Göra studenterna bekanta med varandra, lärarna och
personalen och utbildningsresurserna samt med de särskilda
möjligheter som det medför att studera vid en
fullständig fakultet.
- Introducera de tre ämnesområden som ska studeras: 1.
Form & teknologi, 2. Livsstil & beteende
och 3. Människan & naturen.
- Väcka studenternas medvetande om förhållandet mellan de
tre ämnesområdena och deras betydelse för industriell
design.
- Utveckla studenternas förståelse för att miljömässig
hållbarhet såväl som moraliska och etiska faktorer måste ingå
i förutsättningarna för varje projekt inom industriell
design.
Mål
Kunskap och förståelse
För godkänd kurs skall studenten
- visa förståelse av de tre allmänna ämnesområdena i
relation till professionell industriell design
- visa förmåga att planera och arbeta enskilt såväl som i
ett litet arbetslag
Kursinnehåll
- Studenten ska utveckla en produkt eller en tjänst eller
skriva en uppsats inom ämnesområdet.
- Undervisning om projekten ges i form av ett antal mindre
projekt och/eller workshops.

Betygsskala: UG
Prestationsbedömning: 80% närvaro, genomförande av projekt enligt lärares anvisningar.

Övrig information: Kursen innehåller diskussioner och genomgångar enskilt och i grupp. Studenterna väntas bidra aktivt till utformningen av sin masterutbildning genom att bestämma sina mål samt formulera sina syften med utbildningen och sina möjliga handlingsvägar.
