The aim of the course is to practise different techniques of collecting information. The techniques are experimental study and questionnaire study.
Knowledge and understanding
For a passing grade the student must
Ability to identify important aspects concerning experimental
studies.
Ability to accomplish a questionnaire study including discussion
and validation of aim, selection methods, design of questions,
processing of answers and discussion of results.
Competences and skills
For a passing grade the student must
be able to accomplish an experimental study
be able to accomplish a questionnaire study
be able to present the result of the studies orally and in writing
to different target groups
Judgement and approach
For a passing grade the student must
be able to critically examine the framing of a study
The course have three parts. The first part is about writing a report, the second part is about planing, accomplish and validate a questionnaire study, and the third part is about planing, accomplish and validate an experimental study. The course will discuss different concepts regarding experimental and questionnaire studies.
