Aim

The student shall within the limits of the course enter deep into the subject of decentralized water transport and treatment. The student shall be able to choose appropriate technique after local conditions in developing as well as developed countries and dimension and plan the operation of facilities for drinking-water, wastewater and storm-water treatment.

The course includes essential aspects on decentralized systems for water and wastewater handling in developing as well as developed countries. The course deals with the following areas of knowledge:

Assessment: Written examination. Re-examination might be oral. Oral and written presentation of project. Peer assessment of project reports.

Required prior knowledge: VVA030 Urban Waters.
