Aim

The course will give the students knowledge how to produce drawings, in two and three dimensions, by using AutoCad 2012.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge and understanding
For a passing grade the student must

• Understand the fundamentals in a drawing
• Understand the meaning of different linetypes
• Understand how to scale objects in CAD

Competences and skills
For a passing grade the student must

• Be able to manage drawings in 2 dimensions
• Be able to manage scales, dimensioning and text
• Be able to manage basic commands and visualisation in three dimensions
• Be able to manage object-oriented CAD and visualisation in two- and three dimensions
• Be able to plot the drawings

Judgement and approach
For a passing grade the student must

• Be able to valuate different methods of modelling for a specific task
• Be able to see that AutoCad 2012 is a tool for producing drawings
• Be able to see that AutoCad 2012 is a tool for the practising engineer

Contents

• Repetition in 2D- and technical drawing
• The fundamentals in 3D drawing
• How to visualize in CAD
• Information systems and information systematic of the building business with application
• Object-oriented CAD

Assessment: Accepted assignments.
