Aim

The overall purpose of the course is to – within the subject area Process Based Business Development – give the student concrete tools and methods as well as principles, concepts and visionary perspectives. Through the understanding, skills and attitude development obtained, a foundation is provided for future active participation in the process orientation that is becoming increasingly characteristic of industry and public sector.

Contents

Driving forces and motives for process based business development. Processes and the process concept. Process oriented organizations. Structure and leadership for process organisations. Customers and customer satisfaction. Identifying and mapping processes. Measurement system for processes. Analysis and development of processes. Business development with a process paradigm. Management system, Business Process Management. Cross-organisational processes.

Assessment: To qualify for a final grade the student must have completed the compulsory assignments and passed the written examination.

Credits: 2,5. Grading scale: UG. Assessment: Satisfactorily carried out assignments. Contents: Two assignments are carried out: Development of a main process chart, and development of measurement systems for one of the processes in the main process chart (order-to-delivery)
