Aim
The course aims to introduce the students in quality assurance,
HACCP, cGMP, hygienic process design, ISO 9000 and ISO 14000.
Learning outcomes
Knowledge and understanding
For a passing grade the student must
- comprehend the principles for industrial quality assurance and
product safety.
- know to the most common quality systems
Competences and skills
For a passing grade the student must
- be able to both in written form and as a oral presentation
present risk and quality's assessment of a process in accordance
with the guidelines for a quality system
Judgement and approach
For a passing grade the student must
- show an understanding for the need of quality systems in order
to ensure that a process meets the society's and companies
requirements on product quality, security and effectiveness.
Contents
- tools for product safety in pharmaceutical-, food-, paint-,
packaging-, chemical industry.
- the course is given in collaboration with representatives from
the mentioned industry branches. CIP- and SIP- procedures,
disinfection, quality assurance, HACCP, current good manufacturing
practice (cGMP), ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and environmental management
systems.

Grading scale: TH
Assessment: Written examination, oral and written report.

Selection: Credits remaining for the degree
