Aim

- Develop the ability to effectively communicate form, function and scenario with 2D freehand sketching techniques.
.
- Improve the skills in perspective drawing, composition and penmanship.

- Practice freehand renderings in order to quickly communicate ideas and form.

 

Learning outcomes

Knowledge and understanding
For a passing grade the student must

- Be able to evaluate the appropriate sketching technique according to the given purpose.

- Using freehand sketching techniques, be able to communicate complex shapes, materials, functionality and scenario.

Contents

The course consists of a series of lectures and workshops with exercises, demonstrations and group critics to evaluate progress.

Examination details

Grading scale: UG
Assessment: 80 % attendance required. The assessment is based on the documentation of the individual assignments.

Admission requirements:

• IDEA56 Advanced sketching or equivalent

The number of participants is limited to: 30
Selection: Regular students attending the bachelor education are given preference
