Aim

The subject aims to illustrate how new companies develop, entrepreneur’s role in the development process and the effect of the surroundings in the overall perspective.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge and understanding
For a passing grade the student must

Understand how problems encountered effects new companies’ development and working together to develop their own business plan. This include knowledge and understanding the process for starting a new company, the definition and meaning of entrepreneurship, the purpose of it and the process of entrepreneurship.

Competences and skills
For a passing grade the student must

Establish and develop formularized business plan.

Contents

The subject deals with the fundamental sense and the definition of entrepreneurship such as the market, the individuals and the organizational and network. The subject also focus on the process of entrepreneurship such as identification of business opportunities, market demands and market concentration, building a management team, financing of ventures, business plan, strategies, exploitation and marketing, business platform and management and organization of growing companies.

The subject deals with different types of companies such as manufacturing companies, service provider and service companies.

Examination details

Grading scale: TH
Assessment: Drawing upp and presentation of business plan. Seminar participation with group work based on the connection to business plan. Compulsory presence for lectures.

Admission

The number of participants is limited to: 25
Selection: LTH – colloboration course. Limited number of places. Special admission and selection procedures.
The course might be cancelled: If the number of applicants is less than 16.
