Aim
The aim set out for this course is to give the student the
possibility to study more specialised topics within an area not
coverad by the traditional courses.
Learning outcomes
Knowledge and understanding
For a passing grade the student must
- be able to motivate the field or topic of study for the
supervisor or alternatively perform a minor pre-study - if the
subject of study is proposed by the supervisor or a company
- establish a time plan for the theoretical study part of the
project
- independently of regular lectures carry out the theoretical
study
Competences and skills
For a passing grade the student must
- document the findings/results in form of a report and, if the
project is performed in cooperation with industry or within
a current research project, orally present the
findings/results
- motivate the findings/results of the project
Judgement and approach
For a passing grade the student must
- reflect on the possibility to generalise the findings/results -
this if the project is performed within an ongoing research
project
Contents
The study can be practical, theoretical or both.
