The course aims to provide a deeper insight and understanding of the development of contemporary architecture, and to create an open and critical approach to contemporary design processes and design theories in the field of architecture.

Through literature and case studies of architecture and design processes, discussions and issues that are relevant to today's architects and contemporary architecture, are examined in the course. The concrete cases are related to contemporary design theory and architecture-related philosophy.

Assessment: Approved assignments and at least 80% attendance in lectures and classwork, at seminars and during participants’ presentation of their results.
