The project is a detailed design in an urban or suburban context. The interest is focused on the relation between specific buildings and the global context. We explore in what way a specific insertion in a built fabric can affect and support the vital existing layers of significance. Issues at all levels of scale will be dealt with.
Overall building structures, climate and topography will be treated with the same attention as the building’s expression, form and detailing.
Continuous critic is given at table in groups and to support the design process there are lectures, seminars and study trips (see the compulsory theoretical deepening course).
