Assessment: 80 % prescence at lectures and excercises and approved project work. Further information: The course will be given in Swedish.

Aim
The course aims at preparing the students for future participation in various parts of the construction process to achieve the required degree of moisture safety.

Knowledge and understanding
For a passing grade the student must

For a passing grade the student must

- be acquainted with terms, rules and requirements for moisture safety in the construction process,

- know what the decisive sources of moisture and what the measures against them are for a number of building components in different types of buildings,

- be aware of available tools, templates and software,

- understand the behaviour of materials and structures with regard to moisture conditions and changes

Skills and abilities
For a passing grade the student must

For a passing grade the student must

- be able to perform simple, and define the requirements for sophisticated, calculations of moisture conditions,

- be able to identify and analyse major risks for low safety against moisture in various parts of the construction process,

- be able to examine drawings with respect to moisture safety,

- be able to perform a moisture inspection at a construction site.

Judgement and approach
For a passing grade the student must

For a passing grade the student must

- have a questioning approach to traditional and new solutions for building components and selections of materials,

- have a structured approach to managing moisture safety in the construction process,

Contents
- lectures by university teachers and engineers from industry
