The aim of the course is to give an understanding of different construction production systems, how they have developed and how new construction production systems can be developed and implemented. This is achieved by creating an understanding of the historical development of construction production systems, the context of construction and the innovation process and how it can be managed.

The course consists of lectures, assignments and a project assignment. Lectures will, among other things, go through the assignments. Some parts, both oral and written will be in English. All work will be done in groups. The assignments shall be reported in written form. During the course an individual project diary should be kept. A written and oral report describing a development and implementation strategy for a new or improved construction production system should be carried out.
