REHABILITATION ENGINEERING AND DESIGNTNX153
Credits: 7,5. Grading scale: UG. Cycle: G2 (First Cycle). Main field: Technology. Language of instruction: The course will be given in Swedish. TNX153 overlaps following cours/es: TNS120, TNSA01, TNSF01, TNX151 and TNX152. Optional for: C4, C4da, D4, M4, MD4. Course coordinator: Håkan Neveryd, university instructor, hakan.neveryd@certec.lth.se. Prerequisites: At least 105 credits awarded or credited within the Master of Science Programme. Recommended prerequisits: TNX097 Rehabilitation Engineering. The course might be cancelled if the number of applicants is less than 15. The number of participants is limited to 30 Selection criteria: Applicants who have passed the TNX097 Rehabilitation Engineering course will be given priority. Credits remaining for degree completion according to Ladok December 12th. Assessment: The assessment will be based on individual and group work. Aim
The aim of the course is for the students of the Master of Science Programme, in their future professional roles, to take people's different conditions and abilities into account, and contribute to the accessibility of developed products, services and environments.

Contents
The course consists of lectures in universal design, design methodology and rehabilitation engineering, insight exercises as well as a project that is carried out with industrial design students in the Universal Design, project course. The assignments to be turned in are related to the lectures.

The project will result in a prototype of either a technical aid for persons with a specific disability or a "design-for-all" product.

The course is problem based and project oriented.
