ADVANCED INTERACTION DESIGNMAMN01
Credits: 7,5. Grading scale: TH. Cycle: A (Second Cycle). Main field: Technology. Language of instruction: The course might be given in English. Optional for: C4, C4da, D4, D4bg. Course coordinator: Assistant lecturer Mattias Wallergård, mattias.wallergard@design.lth.se, Ergonomics and Aerosol Technology. Prerequisites: MAM061 Human computer interaction. Recommended prerequisits: TEK210 Cognition. The course might be cancelled if the number of applicants is less than 5. Assessment: For a passing grade the student must actively participate in the obligatory portions as well as receive a passing grade on the projects. Home page: http://www.eat.lth.se.

Aim
The student shall acquire deep knowledge about interaction design and interaction techniques for different applications such as mobile computing, embedded systems, and new interactive media like interactive 3D and games.

Knowledge and understanding
For a passing grade the student must

• know about different forms of interaction techniques

• understand how different forms of interaction techniques can be used in ICT.

Skills and abilities
For a passing grade the student must

• design interactive prototypes of products and services using advanced interaction design techniques.

Judgement and approach
For a passing grade the student must

• be able to assess new interaction forms by building and evaluating interactive prototypes of products and services using advanced interaction design techniques.

The course is built around four themes:

Mobile interaction

Multimedia

Interactive 3D and games

Interaction with sensors and automatic systems
