Credits: 3. Grading scale: UG. Cycle: G2 (First Cycle). Main field: Industrial Design. Language of instruction: The course might be given in English. Optional for: KID2, MID1. Course coordinator: Charlotte Sjödell, charlotte.sjodell@design.lth.se, Industrial Design. Prerequisites: IDEA56 Advanced sketching or equivalent. The number of participants is limited to 30 Selection criteria: Regular students attending the bachelor education are given preference. Aim
The aim is to develop the ability to communicate form, function and scenario with two-dimensional hand techniques.The course will focus on composition, speed, personal expression and how to communicate complex three-dimensional scenarios in a sketch. The aim of the course, besides increasing the knowledge within the area, is to improve the ability of sketching through experience/exposure.

be able to analyse the choise of appropriate sketching techniques given time and purpose. Perform complex three-dimensional shapes and secenarios in 2D hand technique/sketch.

Contents
The course consists of a series of lectures and workshops, demonstrating drawing techniques and materials.
