INDUSTRIAL DESIGN PROJECT AIDEA20
Credits: 4. Grading scale: TH. Cycle: G1 (First Cycle). Main field: Industrial Design. Language of instruction: The course will be given in English on demand. IDEA20 overlaps following cours/es: IDE165. Compulsory for: KID1. Course coordinator: Adjuncted senior lecturer Olof Kolte, Olof.Kolte@design.lth.se, Industrial Design. Assessment: In order to pass the course, the student is required to carry out a small-scale product development project. Contents
The course starts with a study tour in which the students become acquainted with the most common manufacturing processes such as injection moulding of plastics, metal casting, compression moulding, etc. The students are then given the opportunity, in a number of short exercise assignments, to develop their ability to take an idea from thought to finished physical product.
