Aim
To plan and conduct (in groups) a basic industrial design project by applying previously acquired skills.

Knowledge and understanding
For a passing grade the student must

be able to analyse the scenario(s) related to a chosen product in order to identify related demands and develop an innovative product, using their previously acquired knowledge of the creative process. Aesthetical and communicative aspects shall be incorporated; the result will be presented as model, 3D visualisation and a written report.

Contents
The course commences with an introduction, presenting a given case; defining the starting point for a design project relating to the demands analysed and defined. The theoretical and methodological aspects will be applied to and accompanied by practical exercises using new design methods and creative techniques so as to develop a design solution to the initial problem. Previously acquired skills such as sketching, computer aided drawing/illustration and model making will be included alongside marketing related aspects (user polls, target group definitions, mood-boarding, etc).
