EXPERIMENTAL METHODS AND INSTRUMENTATION FOR SYNCHROTRON RADIATION RESEARCHEXTN90
Credits: 7,5. Grading scale: UV. Cycle: A (Second Cycle). Main field: Technology. Language of instruction: The course will be given in English. Optional for: F4aft, F4, N5. Course coordinator: Rami Sankari, rami.sankari@maxlab.lu.se, Department of Physics. Recommended prerequisits: EXTF90 Photon and Neutron Production for Science. Assessment: Written examination, passed laboratory excercises and hand-in exercises. Participation in the group and experimental work, study visits, demonstrations and related education and hand-in duties is compulsory. Aim
The aim of the course is to go deeper into the synchrotron light sources, beamlines and experiments. This includes also calculating and modeling the properties of synchrotron light sources and beamlines. In addition, the course aims in providing fundamental knowledge of various experimental research methods within the fields of synchrotron radiation and free electron lasers.
