ADVANCED AD/DA CONVERTERSETIN05
Credits: 6. Grading scale: UG. Cycle: A (Second Cycle). Main field: Technology. Language of instruction: The course will be given in English. Optional for: D4, D4dpd, E4, E4dpd, MSOC1. Aim
This course deals with the theory and design of advanced mixed-signal circuits, in particular AD/DA converters built around Delta-Sigma modulators. Both discrete-time and continuous-time Delta-Sigma modulators will be treated in depth.

Basic A/D- and D/A converters; basic Delta-Sigma A/D- and D/A converters; first-order and second-order Delta-Sigma modulators; higher-order Delta-Sigma modulators; continuous-time modulators; decimation filters; design of Delta-Sigma converters on silicon; test and measurements of A/D- and D/A converters; state-of-the-art in the design and performance of CMOS Delta-Sigma converters
