TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT OF BUILDINGSABKF01
Credits: 7,5. Grading scale: TH. Cycle: G2 (First Cycle). Main field: Architecture; Technology. Language of instruction: The course will be given in Swedish. ABKF01 overlaps following cours/es: VBF015. Optional for: A4, L5fe. Course coordinator: Elisabeth Kjellsson, elisabeth.kjellsson@byggtek.lth.se and Mats Dahlblom, mats.dahlblom@hvac.lth.se, Building Physics. Recommended prerequisits: L: VTVA05 Sustainable Construction A: VBMA10 Building Technology and Building Physics and VBMA20 Energy and Building Services. The course might be cancelled if the number of applicants is less than 15. Assessment: Written examination. To pass the course the students also must fulfil and pass a project. Aim
The Swedish Environmental Ojectives state that the total energy use per heated area in residential and commercial buildings will decrease, with target reductions of 20% by 2020 and 50% by 2050, compared to the energy use in 1995. Also the EC require, in the “Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, that all new buildings must be zero energy buildings by 2050.

The aim of the course is to give the student enhanced knowledge in order to support a sustainable development in order to reduce the climate changes and the resource use from the building stock.

The main objective is on existing buildings and the need of refurbishment including the management.
