INTRODUCTORY LAW AND REAL ESTATE LAWVFR140

Aim
The objective of the course is to primarily give an important informational basis for continued studies. The course is to give students the ability to study real estate law during their entire education.

The ability to present and understand legal reasoning is developed based on this.

Contents
To begin with, the course addresses areas of fundamental Swedish private law such as contracts, sales and torts.

The latter part of the course focuses only on Swedish private real estate law, in other words, the Swedish Land Code's regulations concerning fixtures, the conveyance of rights of use (rent, servitudes and leases), purchases, defects in real estate as well as mortgage deeds. An important part of the course is general training with respect to legal skills. The students are to be able to search in and use the primary legal sources: legislation, case law and legislative preparatory works. The ability to present and understand legal reasoning is developed based on this.
