HUMAN MACHINE INTERACTIONMAMA01
Credits: 7. Grading scale: TH. Cycle: G1 (First Cycle). Main field: Technology. Language of instruction: The course will be given in Swedish. MAMA01 overlaps following cours/es: MAM070, MAM095 and MAM203. Compulsory for: C1. Course coordinator: Senior lecturer Fredrik Rassner, Fredrik.Rassner@design.lth.se, Ergonomics and Aerosol Technology. Assessment: Written reports, written exam and group sessions. For a passing grade the student must pass all assessments and contribute actively to the group sessions. The final grade is based on the combined results of the individual, written exam and the group project (progress and report). Aim
The aim of the course is to introduce the students to the field of work science and to provide them with an overview of how human physical, perceptual and cognitive abilities affect human-machine interactions.

Knowledge and understanding
For a passing grade the student must

1. Analyse sound/noise, vibrations, illumination, thermal climate, chemical hazards and physical ergonomics with respect to:

2. Analyse how human-machine interactions are affected by concurrent factors.

3. Analyse how psychological and social aspects affect human-machine interactions.

4. Analyse various models for work organisation and how these models determine and affect human-machine interactions.

Skills and abilities
For a passing grade the student must

Be able to discuss how the abilities and limitations (physical, perceptual and cognitive) of humans affect the human-machine interactions.

Judgement and approach
For a passing grade the student must

Be able to retrieve and assess knowledge of working science discriminatingly.
