Credits: 6. Grading scale: TH. Cycle: G1 (First Cycle). Main field: Industrial Design. Language of instruction: The course will be given in English on demand. Compulsory for: KID2. Assessment: The grades awarded range from 5 to 3 wherein 3 equals “passed”, depending on attendance, participation, completion of home assignments and quality of final presentation. Aim
To be introduced to the basic techniques used in transportation design.

Knowledge and understanding
For a passing grade the student must

be able to present a design for a product through sketches, renderings and sketch models as well as orally and digitally present the initial idea, concept, design process and final result.

Contents
The course commences with an introduction to transportation design, consisting of lectures and group critics. The lecture covers the making and uses of “mood boards”, sketching techniques, Adobe Photoshop renderings and presentation techniques.
