Contents
The main part of the course is a design task where the student make a detailed building design in which the tectonic and spatial qualities are strongly related to a smaller or larger green space. The teaching deals with fundamental aspects of architectural design, such as the relation between interior and exterior spaces, the design of built edges and the design of spaces of different scale and character.

A study tour is arranged in order to expand the students’ frames of reference and develop their ability to discuss and analyze the interplay between buildings and green spaces at different scales, from the small cottage in its garden to built structures on the verge of a larger landscape.

The design project is studio-based with individual tutorials as the main educational setting. The student will acquire knowledge and ability to discuss architecture, landscape and gardens in a structured and insightful way, which is supplemented by lectures, literature studies and seminars.

Literature
Course compendium and supplementary literature, the contents of which vary from year to year.
