Credits: 6. Grading scale: UG. Cycle: G2 (First Cycle). Main field: Architecture. Language of instruction: The course will be given in English. Optional for: A4. Course coordinator: Professor Mats Edström, Mats.Edstrom@byggark.lth.se, Architecture and Restoration. Prerequisites: Bachelor degree or three years of approved fulltime studies at university level in architecture, landscape architecture, design, urban planning, buildning antiquarian sciences or the equivalent. The course might be cancelled if the number of applicants is less than 10. Assessment: Successfully to complete the course, a student must attend not less than eighty per cent of the lectures and study visits. At the end of the course, each gives in words, drawings and images a final account of a project. Further information: The course is held primarily for international-exchange students of architecture. Contents
The course focuses on resent Scandinavian architecture that is represented by its ‘highlights’. Its first part comprises lectures and seminars, together with numerous excursions in Sweden and Scandinavia; its second part the students’ own studies and the preparation of a paper by each student.
