Assessment: Individual report. 80 % participation in seminars. Approved seminar memos. The objective of the course is to further students' knowledge as to land development as derived from previous courses and to give a better understanding of the perspectives of the two parties, the municipalities and developers.

The course consists of a moment of lectures and seminars as well as an individual study of a land development project.

The lectures and seminars are to provide knowledge on land development based on different models describing reality, as well as how different regulation systems can be used. The interplay between the different actors in the development process is examined. The significance of the planning and permit systems in controlling developments, and how public and private actors use the system to achieve their goals, is also studied. Economic and planning assessments and valuations are reviewd. The land development agreement is studied as a method for creating a framework for a potential development. The project studies how a specific development is conducted, from its commencement to the beginning of the construction process.
